One Homo Sapient's Slant on Livin' in the USA
I wait too passively. It's a fairly simple concept to occupy one's self with other stuff while waiting for what you can't do any more to effect.
I'm finally getting better at that.

Time wasting away

It's not time wasting away.
Yeah, ain't my waistline either, but patience, patience...
Lackin' that has got me to this point in the first place by yankin' me into two screw-ball, doomed-to-failure marriages.
Thinkin' I need a miracle. Guessin' I'm gonna have to get better at that patience thingy....
Hrmmm....The thing about marriage is the concept use to be "till death do us part" now it's kinda like "till I find someone better than you do we part". Don't beat yourself up over it, everything happens for a reason.
I got married, both times, for "reason" & love.
Next time it'll be for lust, everlasting*. I've learned that much about myself. Love w/o lust is doomed to platonic pusillanimity.
* at least that'll last 'til we're both too old to care 'bout such stuff. {-;
One thing I learned the hard way, AB, is that when you start fantasizing about the death, it's past time to part.
Been there, done that, MichaelBains.
Been there, too, NVW, With the first wife and, yeah, when you're thinking you'd rather die than stay in it, it is Way past time to go.
